City of Walnut Creek Mayor for the Day
Coming back for the 2nd year, the special Mayor for the Day event is a sure hit! Get a first hand look at a day in the life of our mayor and see how this city ticks when your child becomes the Walnut Creek Mayor for the Day!!! Participate in a “behind the scenes” tour of various departments (Police Department, Lesher Center), attend an official city meeting, and have lunch with Mayor Carlston and City Manager Fran Robustelli.
Pixar Tour then Ice Cream at Fenton’s with Mr. Steele
The Pixar tour is back! You’ve watched the movies, now come see where the magic of Pixar Happens! You and three guests will be transported to “infinity and beyond” with a two hour tour of the Pixar Animation Studios in Emeryville, California. Then, venture over to Fenton’s where Mr. Steele will greet you for ice cream!

You don’t have to go far for a romantic night; the Lafayette Park Hotel is just minutes away! KPIX Studio Tour
Do you have an “on-air” personality? Led by 4 time Emmy Award winner, KPIX-TV chief meteorologist and NorthCreek dad, Paul Deanno, you and your family of up to eight (8) people will have the opportunity to tour San Francisco’s KPIX-TV newsroom, weather center, and studio before the 6:00 pm broadcast. After watching the live broadcast, spend more time with Mr. Deanno, and test your skills as an “amateur meteorologist” as you do the weather in front of a green screen! There are lots of great photo opportunities!
Dinner at the Fox’s and a Tedeschi Family Winery Tour
Back by popular demand, you and five others (three couples) will enjoy a wonderful experience at Tedeschi, a family owned vineyard and winery in Calistoga. Your afternoon begins with a chauffeured drive (Mrs. Fox at the wheel) to this amazing little gem tucked against the hills. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by Emilio Tedeschi, son of the owner, who will lead you to a rustic brick patio where you will share a gourmet picnic lunch under a trellis heavily hung with grapes. After good food and fellowship, Emilio will lead you on an intimate, private tour complete with wine tastings while you learn how these lovingly tended grapes go from vine to bottle. With memories of the afternoon fresh, you will return to the Crystyl Ranch home of Carolynn and Dale Fox. Here your experience will continue with a sumptuous evening (Mrs. Fox & Mrs. Hunt in the kitchen) beginning with hors d’ oeuvres on the patio while listening to mesmerizing cello music and decadent dessert offerings, conversation and a special evening concert with music by Thelma and Dan Grassi. You will then sit down to lovingly prepared dinner courses perfectly paired with some of the amazing wines you enjoyed at the winery, in a dining room that will transport you to a Tuscan villa. Your day will conclude with decadent dessert offerings and conversation… and there will be party favors to take home…for each couple, a signed bottle of The Tedeschi Brothers Blend.
