Christmas Gratitude

It’s not easy.

I remember the long nights grading papers. I remember the early mornings making sure everything was ready for the day ahead.  I remember the weekends poring over book reports. Not to mention the hundreds of “out-of-pocket” dollars spent to make sure the classroom looked perfect on the first day of school.

Being a teacher isn’t easy.

I remember these things because my mother taught middle-school English for almost four decades. She loved her career – and her students loved her – but it was hard work. A good teacher doesn’t choose that profession for the “good hours” or the “summers off;” instead, they choose it because they truly want to make a difference in their students’ lives. They want to make a difference in their community.

The purpose of this article is to simply recognize that we at NorthCreek Academy are Blessed to be surrounded by dozens of such educators. Our teachers here are amazing – and they deserve a “thank you” for their hard work and dedication.

One thing I’ve noticed even more this year is the Word Of God proclaimed on the walls of every classroom. Our children are literally surrounded by Scripture! But, thanks to our wonderful NorthCreek Academy teachers and staff, those words jump off the walls during the day. NorthCreek teachers are modeling for our kids what it’s like to love and respect God. They are helping our sons and daughters with their educational and spiritual needs.

So, as we head into the Christmas holiday, we should feel Blessed for many reasons. The people who work at NorthCreek Academy are certainly part of that Blessing.

Merry Christmas,

Paul Diano
