Joining a New School

Joining a new school. . .To some people it can be scary, to some it can be exciting. I joined NorthCreek Academy on Oct. 19, and I LOVE it! I honestly was so excited! I mean, I have been going to the same school for 6 years before this and a middle school for a month and a half.  This is my first time going to a private school.

It definitely was a big process getting into this school, but it was very worth it. I had never had to do a test or meet with the principal to get into a school before. But It was so easy because all the staff and people helping me were so kind and patient. Now I am in, and I feel so welcomed! I especially want to thank Mrs. Burris who answered about a million of our questions, and Mr. Steele for taking the time to talk with us and give us hope for me coming to the school. I was in and I was bursting with joy!

The teachers greeted me and told me what they were doing in class. They walked me through everything and gave me so much grace. They still do, everyday!  I can tell they really care and want the best for me! And don’t even get me started on the students! They are so kind! Honestly, on the second day on zoom, these girls asked me to lunch, and I thought that was so sweet of them! On that Thursday when they started doing in-person classes, I joined right with them. They were so funny, and it was awesome getting to know them! Some other people not in my class have even reached out to me through email and welcomed me here to NCA.

What I really want to say is that the joy and love that everyone has here is so special to me and my family! And now I even have a NorthCreek family! I really don’t know if you guys know how much this means to me. Knowing that every day I get to socialize, get to know people, learn in-person again, and get to know all my wonderful teachers and NCA staff members. It is so special that I want to pinch myself – it’s like a dream! I am proud to say that I attend NorthCreek Academy. I want to give you all a BIG THANK YOU!!!
