CoVid-19 Update

As you may have anticipated, the School Board and Administration here at NorthCreek Academy and Preschool has determined it best to close the NorthCreek campus to students beginning next Monday, March 16 through Tuesday, April 14.

  • Preschool classes will not be held until our return date to campus, which remains Tuesday, April 14.
  • All grade K-8 students, however, will continue to have schooling via an online distance learning plan which we aim to start next Wednesday, March 18. We are confident virtually all students, youngest to oldest, can participate in this model. I’ll be sharing more about this in subsequent emails coming in the days ahead- please await further correspondence from us. Academy teachers will be working on campus Monday, setting out plans for the weeks to come, and being trained on the tools we are providing for this model. We’ll need a few days to get things up to speed, but we’re excited to extend all that we can to your kids, albeit differently.
  • Once again, no students here on campus starting Monday, but K-8 families can expect more information and details to come as we pin things down.

We realize this news creates very real challenges for some in our school family. I’ve heard numerous families mention they’d be happy to help out others who may be in need of support (childcare) during this time. If that is you, let me encourage you to truly give that some thought and consider reaching out to any you know who may be in need of help. What an act of love and service to support others in our NorthCreek family who may have such a tangible need. Do it!

I have more to say (I always have more to say)- and it will be said in the near future, but not now. Tonight, I close encouraging you to grab your Bible and open it up to Psalms 34. It’s a wonderful passage, written by King David when he had his own dose of fear. If you’re struggling tonight- give it a read! And join me in praying for those in our community that are providing healthcare assistance, and so many others worthy of our prayers, and our help during this season.

May God bless you and keep you,

Greg Steele
Administrator and Principal
